I had a friend who lived in a small house with the biggest view in the world. On one side his windows looked towards the stone hills of Les Baux de Provence and on the other side the view was across the whole of the Camargue.

He was an Iraqi Jew who grew up in Bombay. He had lived a life across the world and back again. He used to cook. He would call at 6pm and say “Hey man, I’ve cooked! Come for dinner at 7pm!”. We would sit and eat and talk politics and art and look out at the old view.

He died aged 90. He gave me this cook boo0k. It is the stuff of dreams.

Download it and cook.  The scan is in 6 parts.  Click on the images to download.

There is also a document about a restaurant in the Camargue. The document tells its own story…… Click on the picture of the boat and the cottage in order to download it.
